Having a creative side hustle that you enjoy doing is a great way to take a break from work and explore your passion. It's amazing how your procrastination can become a productive outlet that massively improves your skills and output in your creative pursuit.
For instance, during my nursing school days, I would procrastinate from my school work by building websites and creating digital art. Even if your creative side hustle is not directly related to your work, you can still benefit from it in unexpected ways.
As a web/product and graphic designer, I find myself analyzing other brands and websites in my free time. I enjoy studying the creator's vision, color choices, coding techniques, and the purpose of each element. This passion has turned me into a connoisseur of web design, and browsing other website designs has become a predictive activity for me.
It's important to remember that you don't have to be productive all the time. Take your time to enjoy your creative side hustle, embrace each moment, and simply have fun!
